Brett Goldstein Reveals ‘Ted Lasso’ Is Being Written to End With Season Three
Echoing co-creator Brendan Hunt’s previous statements.

Apple TV+‘s Ted Lasso could truly be coming to an end with its third season.
Brett Goldstein, who plays the fan favorite Roy Kent and also serves as a writer on the show, revealed to Sunday Times that they are sticking with their original plan to close it out with the upcoming season. “We are writing it like that,” he revealed about their plans to end with season three. “It was planned as three. Spoiler alert — everyone dies.”
During the premiere of the second season in July 2021, Brendan Hunt, who co-created the show and plays the role of Coach Beard, told ComicBook that their plans to end with season three may change due to the audience reaction. “We’ve always seen it as a three-season situation. We still have a three-season story arc in mind, but the thing we weren’t prepared for when we were thinking three seasons, was the degree to which people would take to the show,” he explained. “So, perhaps that intention will be challenged a little bit, but that’s where our head is at right now.”
Filming for season three is underway, so stay tuned for an official trailer and release date.
Elsewhere in entertainment, HBO has cancelled Ridley Scott’s Raised by Wolves.
