Raheem Sterling and New Balance Prepare "Shadow of My Dreams" Pack
Inspired by growing up so close to Wembley.
After launching football boots inspired by his Jamaican heritage late last year, Raheem Sterling has returned with his second New Balance collaboration. As well as including new football boots – once again the Furon V6+ silhouette – the capsule also introduces a special take on the New Balance 327.
The pack is titled “Shadow of My Dreams” and looks back to Sterling’s childhood playing street football in the shadows of Wembley stadium. Since then, he has gone on to play regularly at the iconic stadium for both England and Manchester City. Referencing this influence, the shoes and accompanying apparel arrive in a grey and black color palette. These colors extend to the Furon V6+ boots, as well as hits of red and the words “You are the creator of your own success” on the inner sole.
Launching the collaboration, Sterling said:
“For my debut New Balance collection, I really wanted to celebrate where my football journey began and demonstrate that even being born into the most difficult of circumstances cannot stop your rise to achieving the biggest of dreams.
As a child I visualized representing England on the pitch of Wembley, one of world sport’s most iconic stadiums, and look at me today. Brent has risen from the shadows. I never stopped believing in myself. I want young people to find pride in their beginnings and reach for the stars too.”
