Memorial Day Weekend 2022 is now in the books, and as the page turns to the month of June, sneaker brands are looking to start the month off on the right foot with a slew of new footwear releases. New deliveries from the likes of Nike, Jordan Brand, Reebok and more are in line to hit the shelves, but before we break those down for you let’s first do a recap of all of the sneaker action that came up last week.

Sole MatesHYPEBEAST‘s weekly series that focuses on sneaker storytelling — continued with a brand new interview with Thinking Different’s George Robertson who discussed his relationship with the elusive Nike Mag. On the news front, Nike made a handful of big-time headlines as it released an exclusive “Wheat” Air Max 1 colorway alongside Travis Scott, announced a new collaboration with Supreme and revealed its ‘Nike at 50: A Genealogy of Progress’ exhibition in Hong Kong. Staying within the Beaverton circle, Jordan Brand also had plenty of striking colorways to show off including the Air Jordan 1 Low OG “Bleached Coral,” Air Jordan 6 “Georgetown,” Air Jordan 1 High “Starfish” and the Phil Jackson-inspired Air Jordan 4 “Zen Master.”

adidas focused on quality instead of quantity with its news last week as it brought light to Kanye West‘s upcoming adidas YEEZY BOOST 350 V2 “Dark Beluga,” a 90s-inspired adidas Orketro model and a Forum Low colorway that’s extremely similar to Bad Bunny’s Easter collaboration. Other notable kicks that sprung up include that of Salehe Bembury’s Crocs Pollex Clog “Sasquatch,” the Blends x Vault by Vans’ OG Style 36 LX “Magic Tape” Pack and the Andersson Bell x ASICS HN2-S PROTOBLAST S capsule.

All up to speed? Perfect. See below for this week’s best footwear drops and be sure to head over to HBX’s online store to check out all the newest footwear styles.

A Ma Maniére x Air Jordan 2 “Airness”

Release Date: June 1
Release Price: $225 USD
Where to Buy: A Ma Maniére
Why You Should Cop: A Ma Maniere has reinvented the way we look at sneaker collaborations through its captivating storytelling. And next up on its agenda is the introduction of its latest Air Jordan 2 “Airness” collaboration. Design details from its AJ 1 team-up last year are carried over such as the cracked leather uppers, snakeskin textures, rich maroon accents and the quilted liner. Lace tips are adorned with the words “Work Harder” while “Maniére” box logos are pasted to the rear.

adidas UltraBOOST 1.0 “Cream”

Release Date: June 1
Release Price: $235 USD
Where to Buy: Overkill
Why You Should Cop: During the height of the adidas UltraBOOST in 2015 when fashion icons Kanye West and Jerry Lorenzo co-signed the performance model, one of the most coveted colorways was the 1.0 “Cream.” In case you were still on the UltraBOOST train or just never satisfied your need for the pair, it’s slated to restock via various European retailers this week.

Nike Dunk Low ”Rose Whisper”

Release Date: June 2
Release Price: $100 USD
Where to Buy: SNKRS
Why You Should Cop: Dunk colorways continue to be churned out at alarming rates, and while consumers may be tired of them, Nike still has plans to fill the market up with more offerings. The Swoosh has readied the hoops-turned-lifestyle offering in another two-toned number, and the overlays have been fitted with a Spring-friendly “Rose Whisper” hue. Other areas of the base such as the toe boxes, quarters and collars contrast with angelic finishes.

Nike Air Max2 CB ‘94 “Suns”

Release Date: June 3
Release Price: $160 USD
Where to Buy: SNKRS
Why You Should Cop: While Charles Barkley is no longer suiting up on the hardwood, Nike is still honoring his legacy as a pro hooper by fashioning his Nike Air Max2 CB ‘94 with a Phoenix Suns-friendly palette. Most of the real estate here is dressed in white, while orange and purple accents surround the midsoles and his jersey number “34” is embroidered into the lateral heel.

EAMES x Reebok Classic Leather “The Coloring Toy”

Release Date: June 3 (HBX only)
Release Price: $160 USD
Where to Buy: HBX
Why You Should Cop: This newest team-up from EAMES and Reebok pays homage to The Coloring Toy, a children’s coloring book first released in 1955. It’s best known for its toy silhouettes and ingenious combination of construction, whimsical shapes, coloring and imagination. Various cut-out shapes from castle walls to dolls and animals were included and are intentionally printed onto the Classic Leather in black and white fashion. This leaves room for wearers to color in the lines and customize the shoes to their liking.

Nike Air Force 1 Low “Puerto Rico”

Release Date: June 4
Release Price: $120 USD
Where to Buy: Nike
Why You Should Cop: Nike will often show some global love by generating special footwear colorways for certain nations, and one part of the world that has often seen this is Puerto Rico. The Caribbean island is set to receive another Air Force 1 Low colorway, and it comes prepared with perforated leather paneling, “Puerto Rico” hits on the right shoe’s heel, insoles that come printed with all-over graphics and lace dubraes that feature domino-inspired designs.

Air Jordan 6 “Red Oreo”

Release Date: June 4 (Kasina), June 8 (SNKRS KR only)
Release Price: $200 USD
Where to Buy: SNKRS
Why You Should Cop: Jordan Brand’s retro lineup is replete with striking offerings this Spring/Summer season, and one piece of its catalog that will soon be releasing to the masses is the Air Jordan 6 “Red Oreo”. Premium leather forms its top half, and “Red Oreo” accents disperse to the lace toggles, lipped-out heel pieces and molds across the midsoles.

Kasina x Nike Air Max 1 “Made to Be Together”

Release Price: $200 USD
Where to Buy: Kasina
Why You Should Cop: Korean streetwear label Kasina is known to participate in a bevy of collaborative footwear projects, and to kick off the first week of June it’s set to reconnect with Nike for a fresh capsule centered around the Air Max 1. The “Made To Be Together” set entails a duo of colorways and is inspired by the Korean custom of gifting Won-Ang Ducks to newlywed couples. Color schemes for both pairs honor traditional Korean colors and materials such as rich pony hair textures and soft suede, with auspicious undertones.
