Nike Vision Flexes Street Style Influences With FlatSpot XXII Series

Nike Vision taps into the prevalence of street style on the new FlatSpot XXII series. Unveiling a silhouette inspired by the shape of well-used skateboard wheels, the lifestyle brand reiterates its commitment to marrying style and functionality.
Available in three colorways, “Worn Blue/Mystic Hibiscus,” “Black/White,” and “Amethyst Ash/Light Curry,” the FlatSpot XXII collection looks to the street for innovation. Nike draws inspiration from urban environments, effortlessly merging comfort and utility through industrial accents. The brand’s fashion-toward silhouettes borrow visual cues from skyscrapers and city bridges, challenging the status quo for performance eyewear through dynamic shapes and textures.
The FlatSpot XXII frames take on the appearance of an object inherently emblematic of the city: the skateboard. The oversize rims are downturned like flattened wheels, and the chunky bridge resembles a truck axle. Devoid of screws at the hinge, the elevated frames achieve a sleek and sporty temple design. Slip-resistant ridges appear at the earpieces, with a micro Swoosh and tonal accents at the temple tips for a subtle hint of contrast.
The frame material is derived from 45% castor bean oil and incorporates a 4-base flat lens designed for everyday wear. This street-inspired addition to the NV Collection presents a unique shape and minimalist design, offering clear, lightweight coverage. The “Amethyst Ash/Light Curry” colorway is mirrored and features a reflective optical coating on the outside of the lenses.
