ISO.POETISM by Tobias Birk Nielsen Blacks Out Its PALAVY Sneaker
The tactile pair also features a hefty Vibram sole unit.
Spring/Summer 2021 saw the first time ISO.POETISM by Tobias Birk Nielsen stepped into the footwear world all by itself, and now over a year later, the PALAVY sneaker is back in a new black colorway.
First seen as part of SS21’s “INSTINCTS” collection, the PALAVY was previously decked in hand-dyed tones that transitioned across the pair, finished with a faded aesthetic that’s become a signature of Tobias Birk Nielsen‘s work. Here, the sneaker is still hand-dyed, but instead wears a solid black design that combines a lightweight breathable knit mesh with black leather panels, while a waterproof PU coating that shields the shoe’s front also appears in black.
Elsewhere, we find branded webbing running down the tongue, finished with a faded dyed effect, and a set of thin rope laces that add to the tactile edge this shoe oozes. Likewise, a generous Vibram sole unit sits underneath, kitting out the pair with plenty of utilitarian traction. Rounding out the style is a toggle lace that wraps around the heel, heel branding, and a zipper on the collar to offer easy on-off access.
Take a look at the ISO.POETISM by Tobias Birk Nielsen PALAVY in black above, and pick up a pair from UJNG now for £375 GBP (approx. $493 USD).
Elsewhere in the footwear world, adidas’ new UltraBOOST Web DNA is said to feel like walking on a trampoline.
