Copson Takes the Salomon Ultra Raid to Calabria

Celebrating the Italian region through “Negroni Red” accents and the “Tempo Allegro” ethos.

Salomon has recruited London and Calabria-based label Copson for a new take on the Ultra Raid silhouette, drawing inspiration from Copson’s “endless summer” ethos. This influence is referenced across the colorway and the accompanying “Tempo Allegro” campaign, which was captured in Southern Italy.

The Ultra Raid comes in a mostly white colorway with transparent mesh uppers and hits of “Negroni Red” around the collar, tongue and on the Salomon-branding. Other features include a responsive energy foam insert, comfort-focused trail-running midsole and the message “Tempo Allegra” stamped on the tongue.

The phrase “Tempo Allegro” takes its name from the musical term for a quick and bright pace, used in this sense to mean a lively and spirited mood. As Copson explains, this idea is chosen to show the collaboration’s intention “to champion running as a means to live life to the fullest.” This theme runs across the shoe and the campaign, which show a runner in both solitary settings and in community to celebrate “running’s ability to keep us in the moment and encourage us to take time to play.”

The Copson x Salomon Ultra Raid is available now from the Copson web store, and is due to release via the Salomon web store and select stockists on April 21.

As well as working with Copson, Salomon also recently launched a collaboration with AVNIER.
