Alicia Keys has unveiled her solo take on “City of Gods,” which initially featured Fivio Foreign, the artist previously known as Kanye West and Keys.

Her first independent release on AK Records, “City of Gods (Part II)” hears her original chorus and new verses laid over a stripped back, piano rendition. The ALICIA artist also released an accompanying music video for the single, which is directed by Sylvia Zachary and Sing Lee, and performed it live for the first time on Ellen.

The original “City of Gods” dropped in early February, was billed as the lead single off Foreign’s newest album, B.I.B.L.E. and a single on Ye’s DONDA 2.

Elsewhere in music, Syd spoke to HYPEBEAST about her first album in five years, Broken Hearts Club.
