2K Is Reportedly Developing 'Rocket League' Competitor Called 'Gravity Goal'
But you’ll be on bikes instead of cars.
2K Games is reportedly developing a competitor to Psyonix‘s Rocket League. Named Gravity Goal, new reports suggest that the NBA 2K developer is looking to tap into the automotive football genre by taking Rocket League and slightly changing up its gameplay.
While the core premise of the game remains the same, 2K’s version will apparently feature Tron-like bikes instead of cars, and players will also be able to throw discs around to attack other opponents instead of simply crashing into them in Psyonix‘s game. The discs will also vary in damage and power depending on how fast you’re going, and they’ll either slow down your enemy or stun them for a short while.
So far, it seems the game is in its alpha stage and 2K will reportedly officially reveal the title in the near future. It’s also expected to launch on the Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5 and PC. For fans of Rocket League, definitely stay tuned for more updates to come.
Elsewhere in gaming, Sloclap is adding more difficulty levels to Sifu so more players can finish the game.
