Wiz Khalifa Joins Big K.R.I.T., Smoke DZA and Girl Talk for Collaborative LP ‘Full Court Press’

Wiz Khalifa, Big K.R.I.T., Smoke DZA and Girl Talk are coming out with a collaborative album entitled Full Court Press. Due via Asylum/Taylor Gang, the album brings together ten-plus years of friendships. The artists officially began working together on the project in 2017 following individual collaborations between Girl Talk, whose real name is Gregg Gillis, with Khalifa, K.R.I.T. and DZA.
“These guys all go back with each other over 10 years, so it was just a great energy in the room,” Gillis said. “I wanted to have an environment where they could do what they do best; try out a bunch of different ideas and have fun with it.”
Today, the group released the album’s lead single and video “Put You On.” Featuring all four musicians, the track combines their different music styles with a sampling of 70s soul music.
“Working with Girl Talk, Krit and DZA was a dope experience,” Khalifa said. “We got to mix all our sounds together and make a true timeless classic.”
The Full Court Press tracklist consists of 10 songs in total and an additional guest appearance from Curren$y. The album hits streaming services on April 8.
