Impossible Foods is officially introducing its latest product: the Impossible Sausage Links.

Just like the company’s other offerings, the Impossible Sausage Links is a plant-based product and is available in savory Bratwurst, Italian and Spicy flavors. The seasoned ground sausage, which has the taste of pork sausage, is stuffed into a plant-based casing similar to the stuffing of animal sausage. The Impossible Sausage Links can then be grilled directly on an open flame or on a pan, and can be eaten whole or used in other dishes.

It boasts of 11-12 grams of protein per serving and 0 milligrams of cholesterol, and has 30% less total fat in comparison to leading sausages made from pigs. The product also uses 79% less water, 71% less greenhouse gas emissions and 41% less land than animal pork sausage, making it a better option for the planet.

“We didn’t compromise when it came to making sure Impossible Sausage Links deliver all the satisfying snap and sizzle that consumers love about pork sausage,” said Laura Kliman, director of new product development at Impossible Foods. “Our innovative technology platform and consumer-focused design approach allowed us to finesse everything from the spice mix to the casing and stuffing process, and we really perfected it to give consumers the opportunity to enjoy what they love most about pork sausage from pigs without sacrificing on taste, versatility or environmental impact.”

The Impossible Sausage Links will be available this month and can be found at select major retailers, and will be available nationwide this summer.
