Kawhi Leonard's New Balance KAWHI 2 "New Money" is Unveiled
$100 USD bill-inspired print is plastered across the upper.

A timeline on when Kawhi Leonard will return to the hardwood is still up in the air, but as he takes time to recover from his right knee ACL injury he’ll be shifting his efforts into promoting his newest signature: the New Balance KAWHI 2. The next chapter in the two-time champion’s story with the Boston sportswear imprint is approaching, and one of the colorways that will be kicking off its rollout will be this “New Money” makeup. This installment serves as a follow-up to the first New Balance KAWHI “New Money” iteration that was released during Summer 2021.
Like its predecessor, a $100 USD bill is the inspiration for its overall theme. The back end, as well as the sidewalls and toe boxes, are treated with money-inspired print, the latter of which are slightly less visible due to the light gray synthetic layer that drapes over them. Tongues also come prepared with cash-influenced elements as they are stamped with “100” notations. Down below, the heel molds have been finished with a metallic gold exterior, and the wavy midsoles come readied with a muted gray skin.
If you want to add these to your basketball rotation, mark your calendars for a March 19 release date. The retail price will be $160 USD.
