No Signal, a grassroots, Black-led radio station has just announced its “Class of 2022” of its inaugural No Signal Yearbook, which celebrates emerging music talent in the U.K.

Launched back in 2019, the No Signal platform came to create a space for DJs to express themselves outside of the club, however, the station now broadcasts daily from its London-based studio where it aims to connect various Black diasporas across the world via audio content while simultaneously serving as a gateway into Black music culture.

With this being said, No Signal has unveiled the shortlist for its third annual yearbook that shines a light on the established and emerging talent that has succeeded over the last 12 months. The shortlist includes U.K. rappers, DJs, and singers, with previous members of the list coming in the form of Central Cee, Tora, Double Lz, Pa Salieu, Shaybo, and Backroad Gee.

For 2022, the No Signal Yearbook is continuing to champion underground talent across cities including London, Manchester, Birmingham, Bristol, Cardiff, Sheffield, Edinburgh, and Glasgow.

Shortlists this year include the likes of Knuckswho recently shared the Album of the Year prize with Little Simz at the recent MOBO Awards — and Nemzzz, one of Manchester’s most exciting rappers who shot into stardom with his breakout record, “Elevate.”

Furthermore, Yorkshire Drum and Bass DJ, Nia Archives, is also shortlisted, while others include London-based drill rapper M24 and popular girl band, FLO.

Additionally, Dreya Mac makes the list after the dancer-turned-musician garnered popularity after appearing in Stormzy’s “Vossi Bop” video before releasing her debut record, “Skippin.” Rounding off the list, other entries include the likes of Cat Burns, Skillibeng, Glorilla, Ayra Star, Cristale, and Black Sherif.

You can take a closer look at No Signal’s “Class of 2022” above and you can vote for you who believe should make Top of Class on the official No Signal website now.

In other news, Little Simz has announced her new album, NO THANK YOU.
