Jeremy Scott Covers adidas Originals' Superstar In a Rich "Money" Print

Jeremy Scott is the master of madness, and now the designer continues developing his relationship with adidas Originals by plastering the Superstar in one of his most vividly rich prints, “Money.”

Taking a “Footwear White” base, Scott applies a full teal overlay decorated with dollar bills — ones branded with the phrase “In adidas We Trust.” That former white hue now only hits up the serrated Three Stripes on the mid-panel and the heel, where gold foil-effect adidas Trefoil branding makes its mark.

In true Scott fashion, the changes do not stop with just a print. While much of the silhouette is stock, we now find a tongue that’s not just elongated, but so big it actually folds in and over itself, creating a wavy finish. The result of which makes the tongue look like a wad of money, folded and weaving through the white laces before sticking out into the air beyond the collar.

Oversized gold adidas branding works the tongues, while a white midsole and outsole round out the divisive pair. Take a closer look at the sneaker above, and purchase the Jeremy Scott x adidas Originals Superstar “Money” from retailers like Sivasdescalzo for $155 USD on December 21.

Elsewhere, adidas has given the Stan Smith a “Lux” makeover.
