Gucci and adidas Surprise Drop Technical Après-Ski Boots
Inspired by the Three Stripes’ archive and infused with Gucci’s nostalgic joy.

In continued efforts to subvert the world of luxury and sportswear, the Trefoil and GG combine in four whacky, bold colorways that are evocative of both labels. Such hues are often explored by Alessandro Michele — who would have designed these shoes before leaving Gucci earlier this year — while the tones are also reminiscent of adidas’ ’90s and noughties work, particularly if you look into its ZX archive or moments of winter sports equipment production.
As a result, we find the boot in various multicolored technical canvas renditions, using neon pops to highlight the boots’ tactile hiking elements. From metal eyelets to rope laces, a tiered lugged sole unit of 52mm to classic touches like Trefoil branding, these boots are some of Gucci x adidas’ wildest creations to date.
Adding to the theme is a special archive-derived Gucci Trefoil vintage mountain label that appears on the tongue, while further branding is embossed into the hard-wearing heels, collar, and outsole.
Gucci x adidas’ lace-up boots retail for £970 GBP (roughly $1,200 USD) and can be bought online and in boutiques around the world now.
