RIMOWA and adidas Highlight the Spirit of Mobility With a Collaborative Capsule
The two German imprints team up on an NMD S1 and backpack that are fitted with a “Titanium” motif.

adidas has a knack for forging relationships with luxury brands as it has already executed projects with the likes of fashion labels Prada, Balenciaga and Gucci. And now it’s traversing into the world of luggage by joining forces with RIMOWA to produce a footwear and accessories collection that celebrates the spirit of mobility. Being that both imprints are based in Germany, it was only a matter of time before these two parties united for a joint venture.
The adidas NMD S1 proposition in this range is produced with a minimal presentation. Uppers of the lifestyle kicks are made with their customary PrimeKnit fabric and come doused with a “Titanium” tone. Pops of orange poke out through the laces, adidas Trefoil branding that sits on the tongues as well as the RIMOWA logos that are parked out on the heel tabs. Below the semi-chunky midsole unit is styled with a milky tint and is accessorized with “MADE IN GERMANY” messaging to nod to the partnership.
A collaborative backpack is also lined up for this launch, and its design is inspired by seeking fulfillment in new destinations. Engineered with RIMOWA’s signature grooved aluminum, it features padded utility shoulder straps with a carabiner and thumb loops, elasticated webbing through the grooves and case’s telescopic tubes for comfort. Inside the backpack, you’ll find a pair of zippered pockets and a co-branded pocket that fits a 16-inch laptop.
If interested, you can find the RIMOWA x adidas collection dropping via CONFIRMED and RIMOWA on November 17. The shoes will cost €250 (approx. $258 USD) while the backpack will retail for €1,500 (approx. $1,550 USD).
