MIZIZI F.C. Reimagines African Football Jerseys for the World Cup
Including kits for the Cameroon, Ghana, Morocco, Senegal, and Tunisia national teams.
MIZIZI has just presented a selection of limited-edition football shirts — and all of them celebrate the five African nations that are competing in this year’s Qatar World Cup.
Coming as part of the brand’s MIZIZI F.C. line, the collection comes packed with reworked Cameroon, Ghana, Morocco, Senegal, and Tunisia jerseys. The collection intends to merge classic football heritage with a modernized twist as each jersey is designed with traditional patterns alongside revitalized symbolic motifs that represent each nation’s flag and history. Additionally, each shirt also features independence year numbers on the back of each silhouette.
Collection highlights come in the form of the Senegal shirt which is coated in a bold green hue, while intricate black detailing is spread across the top half of the base. The jersey also comes with national flag detailing on the cuffs of the shirt as tones of red, yellow, and green come together respectively.
The MIZIZI F.C. campaign features a selection of diasporic models that are all captured sporting the new soccer jerseys in a high school setting. Each shirt featured in the photoshoot has been reimagined by designers Kenneth William Obeng, Kofi Berko, and MIZIZI Founder and CEO Paakow Essandoh and the campaign comes oozing with clean-cut, bold, and effortlessly styled with an assemblage of accessories such as sunglasses, shades, and tote bags.
