"Circo Loco" Co-Writer Lil Yachty Addresses Drake's Alleged Jab at Megan Thee Stallion
Clearing the air as “[Drake's] not going to address it.”
Lil Yachty has personally addressed Drake‘s controversial line of “This bitch lie ‘bout gettin’ shots, but she still a stallion/She don’t even get the joke, but she still smiling” in the Her Loss track “Circo Loco.”
Taking to Instagram Live to clear the air, Yachty, one of the song’s co-writers, shared that the rumors of the line being about Megan Thee Stallion and Tory Lanez‘s altercation were false. “I was addressing this line because I know [Drake's] not going to address it, because I just know know Drake,” Lil Yachty, who has a writing credit on the track, said. “So, it’s not about Megan, it’s about women lying about their butt shots saying it’s real when it’s fake.”
Megan Thee Stallion herself already shared a response to alleged diss, which refers to the July 2020 incident between her and Lanez that resulted in the Houston rapper getting shot. “I know I’m very popular but y’all gotta stop attaching weak ass conspiracy theories in bars to my name lol N****s nor hoes EVER address me or @ me WITH a fact or receipts,” she tweeted. The assault trial is scheduled for December 2022.
Elsewhere in music, Her Loss is projected to open at No. 1 next week.
