American fashion stylist, collector and consultant David Casavant has one of the most enviable archives in the world, and now he is letting you in on his fashion secrets with his comprehensive sale at Dover Street Market New York. From coveted Raf Simons grails to vintage Prada, Miu Miu, Helmut Lang and even oddities from the 1930s, the David Casavant Archive presents some truly one-of-a-kind pieces fit for any fashion aficionado.

Leading the pack is a Raf Simons Spring/Summer 2000 “Summa Cum Laude” collection Pyramid Bomber jacket. On the runway, this was one of the it-items, and has gone on to shape Simons’ career as a designer known for his highly sought-after outerwear. Not quite on the same level as FW01’s “Riot! Riot! Riot!” bomber, which typically fetches in excess of $35,000 USD on the resale market, this piece comes in at a still hard-to-swallow $19,000 USD.

Coming in hot on the Pyramid Bomber’s heels is the $17,000 USD FW01 patch T-shirt, from the same collection as the “Riot!” bomber. It’s textbook Raf, coming in a loosely oversized fit with plenty of distressing and patches that are tinged with punk cues, references to Joy Division and more.

Elsewhere, we find the “Singer” T-shirt from Raf Simons FW97, an FW02 “Virginia Creeper” sleeping bag costing $5,000 USD, FW98 coats, and an SS03 “Consumed” net hat for $6,000 USD.

Aside from Raf Simons, David Casavant Archive brings FW04 leather chain jeans from Helmut Lang, incredibly seminal and influential FW01 briefs from Lang too, and an SS99 T-shirt that perfectly evokes the spirit of Lang’s work, it being proudly branded and dated.

As for oddities, we find a Farnell Alpha toy dog that’s turned into a bag and dates back to the 1930s. Take a look at the entire drop above, and shop the range online or in Dover Street Market New York now.
