Prepare for a Digital Adventure as Burberry Reveals In-Game Collection With Minecraft
Allowing players to explore digital kingdoms, while purchasing garments shoppable IRL.
Following an initial sneak-peek shared in October, Burberry and Minecraft reveal further details on its immersive gaming collaboration.
Burberry and the contemporary gaming pioneer join forces on a multifaceted collaboration that features a customized in-game landscape, dubbed Burberry: Freedom to Go Beyond. The union explores both imprints’ adventurous mindset and allows players to jump into a reimagined version of the City of London, Burberry’s home base. In addition, the game nods to the brand’s British heritage through fantastical notes, including a Thomas Burberry Monogram maze and an Equestrian Knight pulled from its traditional logo.
Gamers can become explorers and embark on a mission to rebuild utopian kingdoms, while exclusive character skins and items are available to shop alongside a limited-edition capsule collection that also hops into the physical realm. The co-ed range merges the identity of both brands, allowing users to match with their selected avatar in the real world.
Burberry classics, including the Waterloo Trench Coat and Car Coat, stand alongside checkered hoodies, hats, and scarves that receive a pixelated finish. Recognizable Minecraft graphics are also seen throughout, featuring character shadows, outdoor motifs, and co-branded hits.
Burberry: Freedom to Go Beyond will be available to download from the Minecraft Marketplace at 10 a.m. PST on November 1. The Burberry x Minecraft capsule collection is available now online and at select Burberry locations globally.
