Take a Look Around the New Headquarters of Pas Normal Studios
Designed to put the cycling brand “closer to its community”.

Cycling label Pas Normal Studios has thrown open the doors to its new headquarters in Copenhagen’s Nordhavn district, which has been designed by OEO Studio to encompass a training space, gym, cafe, office, and flagship store.
Following on from the stores it designed for Pas Normal Studios in Taiwan and Seoul, OEO was brought on board to create a space that would bring the brand and its community together. Above all, the space had to work for a number of different needs, and as such, the interior scheme had to be sleek yet robust. “The design concept for the flagship store reflects a vision to embrace the local cycling community and offer technically advanced apparel in a welcoming and domestic-like space where customers not only purchase cycling gear but are just as likely to stop by for a coffee in a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere,” OEO Studio adds.
The HQ extends over two levels within two large warehouse buildings, which each feature redbrick exteriors and date back to 1897. Across the office, and in keeping with the brand’s visual language, minimalism prevails. Splashes of color are introduced throughout, as well as careful restoration of the building’s original features. The new flagship store is located in the main building and blends together with workspaces towards the back and on the top floor. In here, OEO Studio crafted a bespoke staircase in oak and steel, which connects the two spaces while adding a striking visual moment.
No cycling brand’s HQ would be complete without all-important bike storage, and OEO opted to place this in the second building, alongside a staff changing room and the Studio-Lab – a training and virtual bike studio where employees can test new apparel. During the day, skylights allow natural light to flood the space, and at night, Hotaru paper pendant lights designed by Barber Osgerby illuminate the areas.
Peter Lange, CEO of Pas Normal Studios, says:
“The purpose of this project was to create a dynamic lifestyle office – that goes hand in hand with our brand DNA, our passion for cycling, and our attitude towards the inclusion of employees and customers.
OEO Studio’s design has created a connecting point where all these elements meet and blend. The new HQ and flagship store also puts us close to our community, which was the overwhelming ambition for this new space.”
