Chromebook Releases New Gaming Laptops, Connecting the Worlds of Work and Play
The new Chromebooks feature access to up to 1000 new games and crystal-clear resolution for a heightened gaming experience.
Chromebooks became the ideal, dynamic tool for productive work whether that be in the classroom or the office. Google’s operating system assures speedy usage while the thin, sleek shape of the laptop makes it easy to pack and take on the go. But with the latest Chromebook release, the brand is showing that Chromebooks can be used for work and play.
With a new core audience in mind — the “Undercover Gamer” — not only can the cloud gaming Chromebook be used to complete business-related tasks and to-do’s, but they can be used to take a break from work and indulge in amusement as well. New gaming-friendly features elevate the video game experience, with one of the most anticipated updates being an exclusive library of over 1000 video games.
The “Undercover Gamer” campaign was spearheaded by ØPUS United, a culture-first creative agency founded by Omar Johnson, the former founding CMO/VP at Beats by Dre. The campaign was designed to show a new perspective of Chromebook’s devices, brought to reality by some of the most notable secret gamers in their space.
This talent is most known for their outward-facing careers or interests, but Chromebook’s new campaign shows their simultaneous love for gaming and how the pastime integrates harmoniously into their everyday lives. Actor and Black Panther star, Winston Duke, and pro football Hall of Famer and current coach for Jackson State University, Deion “Coach Prime” Sanders, are featured in the new campaign, revealing their affinity for the gaming world.
Much like Duke, Coach Prime has poured a lot of energy into his career, but he shares that his drive and competitiveness on the field also carries over into gaming, which has become a tradition between the athlete and his sons. “It was such a perfect fit to take my competitive gameplay and coaching skills from the field to the office. To have my sons be a part of this, with our competitive nature, and me being able to whoop their butts virtually — it couldn’t have been drawn up any better. The sound, the speed, and the resolution truly make you feel like you’re right in the middle of the darn thing,” says Coach Prime.
The new Chromebook is available for $649.99 USD on bestbuy.com.
