Woolrich Explores The Natural World And Technical Innovations For FW22
Combining both heritage and contemporary styles.
Woolrich has unveiled its Fall/Winter 2022 collection at Milan Fashion Week in which it ventures on a voyage of authentic Americana, the natural world and man’s technical innovations.
The outerwear label — which has teamed up with the likes of Aimé Leon Dore, Goldwin and Vibram in recent times — takes a look at the open spaces surrounded by nature and the ongoing dialogue between heritage and contemporary, with its “Socially Outdoors” delivery.
Classic garments like the Duster Work Jacket has been renewed through the use of Eco Ramar — a unique brand fabric made from organic cotton and recycled nylon — while pieces from Woolrich’s Heritage Terrain family arrive in the form of the overshirt and vest in a lightweight Taslan fabric with square quilting.
“Upstate Outsiders” is Woolrich’s second delivery and is dedicated to those of the world that are moving from natural environments to urban spaces and back. Historically, upstate outsiders are adaptive people who need clothing that offers comfort and protection. Hero items are guided by the Wool Coat made from a double-faced melton check and a waterproof Seam Sealed Parka.
“Lodge Creatures” rounds out FW22’s third element, a period where warmth and protection is paramount. Answering the need for durability and versatility to enjoy both outdoor leisure and work, the Byrd Parka arrives in an oversized fit, while the Sierra Printed Supreme Jacket houses a micro ripstop material which boasts a unique ombre effect.
