Sounwave Teases New Music "On the Way" and Fans Think It's Kendrick Lamar's Album
The ‘DAMN.’ followup will mark Lamar’s last album with TDE.
Sounwave is preparing to release new music this year and many fans are hoping it’s Kendrick Lamar‘s upcoming album.
K-Dot’s longtime producer took to Instagram to share a few words for the new year, writing, “Took a full year off to get realigned with what I love to do.. New creations on the way.” He did not confirm what “new creations” they are, specifically, however his fellow producers and other artists such as Boi-1da, Kenny Beats, Rapsody, Terrace Martin, BADBADNOTGOOD and more commented to voice their excitement.
Lamar’s forthcoming album will be his last release under Top Dawg Entertainment, revealing the news in a post from August 2021:
“As I produce my final TDE album, I feel joy to have been a part of such a cultural imprint after 17 years. The Struggles. The Success. And most importantly, the Brotherhood. May the Most High continue to use Top Dawg as a vessel for candid creators. As I continue to pursue my life’s calling.
There’s beauty in completion. And always faith in the unknown.
