Phillips Perpetual Offers Rare F.P. Journe Sonnerie Souverain
Fewer than 50 of the chiming watch were ever made.

Phillips Perpetual is offering a rare F.P. Journe Sonnerie Souverain for sale on behalf of “an important collector”.
Master watchmaker F.P. Journe debuted the chiming model in 2006 but the complication was so complex to produce that only two watchmakers at his atelier were certified to make it, meaning just four pieces left the workshops annually.
The watch – which resulted in 10 patents and won a GPHG award – was eventually discontinued in 2018, meaning fewer than 50 examples were ever made and each was engraved with the buyer’s name to personalise them.
This example from 2008 is engraved with the name “Gabrielle” and comes with an assortment of sealed replacement components to ensure the watch lasts for many generations.
The watch is presented in its original fitted box along with loupe, polishing cloth, certificate, extra components, pin buckle, deployment clasp and user manual.
The F.P. Journe Sonnerie Souverain is offered by Phillips Perpetual and listed as Price on Application.
