Kodak Black Challenges JAY-Z to High-Stakes 'VERZUZ' Battle
Offering Hov 15% of his catalog as a prize.
Kodak Black has publicly challenged JAY-Z to a VERZUZ battle, and he’s upping the ante with his terms.
The Bill Israel rapper took to Twitter to call out Hov, tweeting, “‘IF’ [JAY-Z] win he get 15% of my catalog! I win he make me Vice President of roc nation.” JAY himself has not responded as of writing, but many fans replied to Black’s initial tweet stating whether or not they think the Florida artist can take on the Brooklyn icon.
Black is not the first rapper to call out Hov for a VERZUZ battle, but the latter finally addressed all the challengers during a Twitter Spaces conversation in late December 2021. “No disrespect. Everyone is amazing and [has] done what they’ve done,” he said. “There’s not a chance in hell that anyone can stand on that stage with me.”
“That ain’t never gonna happen,” he added.
