Earlier this week, Kanye West was photographed in Los Angeles happily examing a T-shirt gifted to him by a fan. The T-shirt in question was from the emerging brand BLADE.
Playing off the prominence of Rei Kawakubo and her husband Adrian Joffe‘s expansive retail concept DOVER STREET MARKET, the playful brand celebrates Ye’s childhood home in Chicago with a graphic of the house. The house is overlayed with “DONDA STREET MARKET” written in DSM’s signature minimalist typeface. Both the T-shirt and hoodie releases also feature a Los Angeles address and the address of Kanye’s childhood home at the rear.
