Last year, Bow Wow announced that he was bidding farewell to his 20-year music career. At the time, he spoke with fans in a Twitter Q&A claiming that he has considered retiring after his next album. However, fans were quick to point out that it had been 11 years since the rapper dropped a studio album.

Now, it seems that he is truly taking his final bow with a newfound commitment to his final retirement album. After years of speculation, Bow Wow took to Twitter to reveal that Snoop Dogg has been the one to push him to finish it. In a Tweet he wrote, “Snoop told me no way you can retire before me. You owe us one more. Speak on all the real shit that we wanna know you been going through. Put it song and watch it flourish. – nuff said unc! #lastone.”

The announcement follows a recent interview that occurred earlier this year that saw Bow Wow speak on Hot 97’s Ebro in the Morning, “I’m a do one more album. It’s gonna be the last one and it’s gonna be called Before 30, and I’m a have Snoop narrate the whole thing.” Bow Wow has been teasing his retirement since 2016 when he tweeted about wanting to always retire from music before the age of 30. It seems as if Snoop has given him a quick nudge to urge him back into music before retirement.
