Bobcat Wins 2022 CES Innovation Award With World's First Electric Compact Track Loader
The T7X sees half the parts, 3x the torque, and reduced noise and vibration.

The Skid Steer Loader from 1958 has just gone through its newest transformation. In a new paradigm shift in compact construction equipment, Bobcat has unveiled the first fully electric mini digger.
The recipient of this year’s CES Innovation Award, the Bobcat T7X Compact Track Loader is the first big update in its class — a class that has seen very few changes in the last 80 years in terms of internal combustion power driving pump assemblies and the use of diesel fuel and hydraulic oil.
The T7X sees a 62-kilowatt lithium-ion battery that provides up to four hours of continuous operation time or a full day of use during intermittent use. Replacing the hydraulic system is an electrical drive system consisting of electric motors and ball screw actuators. This system provides three times the instant torque compared to traditional loaders.
Some of the benefits from this new design include lower maintenance due to half the parts used in building the T7X, zero fluid leaks, zero emissions, and reduced noise and vibration.
