Warner Bros. Is Now Developing a Remake of Whitney Houston’s 'The Bodyguard'
Potentially starring Chris Hemsworth and Tessa Thompson or Channing Tatum and Cardi B.
According to reports, Warner Bros. is now developing a remake of Whitney Houston‘s The Bodyguard.
Reports note that Tony-nominated playwright of The Inheritance fame, Matthew López, has been tapped to write the reimagination of the iconic. Lawrence Kasdan of Kasdan Pictures, the original writer-producer of the original 1992 romantic drama, will be producing the upcoming Warner Bros. title with Dan Lin and Jonathan Eirich of Rideback. While Rideback’s Nick Reynolds will serve as Executive Producer.
The remake of The Bodyguard has been rumored for years with an array of casting duos. Current pairings being floated around include Chris Hemsworth and Tessa Thompson to Channing Tatum and Cardi B.
