Jordan Brand has unveiled its Holiday 2021 Air Jordan retro collection. Made up of 13 styles in total, the collection reinterprets some of Michael Jordan‘s most beloved signature models in bold new fashions, ranging from coating the Air Jordan 1 in patent leather to applying camo to the Air Jordan 3 and more.
Kicking off the collection is a four-pack of Air Jordan 1s. There’s the Air Jordan 1 “Patent Bred,” a luxurious take on the OG Air Jordan 1 “Bred” that’s fully coated in patent leather, and the Air Jordan 1 “Bordeaux,” a color-flipped take on the CO.JP line’s Air Jordan 1 “Midnight Navy.” Besides these two altered classics, there’s the Air Jordan 1 “Hand Crafted” — a fall-ready style that’s rife with color and rich in detail — and the Air Jordan 1 “Atmosphere,” a pink patent leather-embellished sneaker inspired by Michael Jordan‘s love of bubble gum.
Following up the Air Jordan 1s are two takes on the Air Jordan 3 and two iterations of the Air Jordan 5. The Air Jordan 3 “Pine Green” combines Oregon Ducks colors with classic cement print, while a camo-covered Air Jordan 3 supplies rain, leaf and woodland camo patterns atop a material mix that includes everything from waxed canvas to twill, ripstop and herringbone. Both Air Jordan 5s are women’s styles, with a “Jade Horizon” pair supplying a light jade upper and aged eyestays while the other style offers a bright bluebird tone with icy soles to match.
Rounding off the collection is a quintet of singular Air Jordan models, namely the Air Jordan 9, Air Jordan 12, Air Jordan 13, Air Jordan 14 and Air Jordan 14 Low. Arriving in “Chile Red,” the collection’s Air Jordan 9 gives off a vivacious look that’s somewhat reminiscent of 2012’s Air Jordan 9 “Motorboat Jones.” The Air Jordan 12 “Royalty” is essentially an Air Jordan 12 “Taxi” with some extra gold detailing, while the Air Jordan 13 “Court Purple” is a regal twist on a classic style. Last but not least, the Air Jordan 14 supplies a winterized build thanks to a vaccum-molded wheat upper with sturdy suede, and the Air Jordan 14 Low arrives in a women’s sized shock pink colorway that according to the Jumpman is inspired by being “boldly and unapologetically yourself.”
Expect Jordan Brand’s holiday 2021 Air Jordan retro collection to begin rolling out on Nike SNKRS in October. Exact dates of arrival have yet to be determined.
