In the run-up to its 16th annual awards, BET reveals this years list of nominees, jam packed with more talent and sass than ever.

Racking up nine honorable mentions, Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion have winning in clear sight, thanks to their collaboration on “WAP” which became an undisputed anthem of the year.

Drake also sees a number of nominations, though not for his recently released Certified Lover Boy which just missed the deadline, but his track with Lil Durk, “Laugh Now, Cry Later”. As a group nominee, Migos tops the most successful, finding themselves in both Best Group and Best Hip Hop Album of the Year.

Over in the international category, the UK’s finest lyricists Dave and Little Simz also pick up nominations, alongside Ladipoe, Nasty C, Laylow and Gazo.
