Kids of Immigrants Unveils its Vans Old Skool "Anything is Possible" Collaboration
The collaborative kicks are crafted with corduroy, shearling, velvet, paisley, and patent leather materials.
Kids of Immigrants has swiftly made a name for itself in the world of fashion for its storytelling, commitment to empowering immigrants and dedication to its community. And this Summer, the LA-based entity is extending its run of footwear collaborations for the third occasion with Vans as it has just pulled back the curtains on its Old Skool “Anything is Possible” installment. Its namesake is derived from the Kids of Immigrants‘ signature slogan.
The shoes are dressed entirely with neutral white and beige tones, but it’s the assortment of materials that really make this offering special. The collective employs various fabrics and patterns on the base layers including paisley, corduroy, velvet, shearling and patent leather, all of which are symbolic of the SoCal’s collective’s upbringing. The insoles are inspired from Chinese laundry bags and the treading features yellow backdrops to represent household lamps. Additionally, midsoles are emblazoned with repetitive Kids of Immigrants spell outs and coordinates that speak to the apartment in which they first started the brand.
Check out a closer look at the kicks in the collection of images up above, and note that these will be launching via the Greenhouse app on August 18 followed by a Kids of Immigrants drop on August 20.
