Junghans Celebrates 60 Years of Max Bill With Three-Watch Collector's Set
Set includes a three-hand auto, a radio-controlled small seconds and a regulator.
German watch manufacturer Junghans is celebrating 60 years of creating mechanical watches in association of Swiss architect and designer, Max Bill, with a new collector’s set.
The brand has put together three different stainless steel watches with a matching color scheme of anthracite, beige grey and orange, each individually packaged before being assembled together in packaging carrying an image of the multi-hyphenate Bauhaus designer.
Bill, who died in 1994, first designed mechanical watches for Junghans in 1961, bringing his parred-back aesthetic, which led to gauge-like watches of unrivalled legibility.
The set, which is limited to 1,060-pieces, includes the three-hand with date Max Bill Automatic, a radio-controlled Max Bill MEGA Kleine Sekunde and a Max Bill Regulator, each with matching engraved casebacks.
The Max Bill Edition Set 60 is available now, via Junghans retailers, priced $4,900 USD.
