Seiko Teams Up With GUCCIMAZE For Limited-Edition Capsule Collection
Continuing its 140th anniversary celebrations.

Japanese watch expert Seiko is celebrating 140 years as a global leader in horological innovation. This season, the brand delves into its archives, shifting focus onto its iconic Seiko 5 Sports watch with the “5” representing its five key features – automatic movement, day-date display, water resistance, recessed crown and durable case and bracelet.
Following highly sought-after collaborations with AUTO MOAI as well as the skate-inspired Evisen watch, the brand has now teamed up with Tokyo-based graphic designer Yuta Kawaguchi, better known as GUCCIMAZE to reimagine its classic timepiece.
Revered for his sharp-lined 3D chrome lettering and bold metallic typography, the artist translates his signature acid graphic aesthetic into a camo-inspired print onto the watch’s face and bezel. Limited to only 1,500 pieces, the collaborative capsule collection arrives in two iterations: L.E with a black and blue face and bezel as well as a BTQ exclusive with a tonal silver color palette.
Continuing with its exclusive 5 Sports offering, Seiko drops a commemorative 140th Anniversary edition. Limited to 11,000 units, the timepiece arrives in white for the first time in its 60 year history as well as adopting blue accents to represent the brand’s innovation over 14 decades. Two of its core designs are also set to release including the “Field” collection inspired by the military aesthetic of its former “Trench Watch” and the similar “Cement” collection adorned in a cityscape colorway both featuring fabric straps for a casual look.
With the collection starting at £240 GBP (approximately $335 USD) you check out Seiko’s full 140th anniversary range as well as sign up to the waiting list for its limited-edition designs through the website.
