“Pradidas” is back with a bang, this time around delivering the Prada x adidas A+P LUNA ROSSA 21 in two new colorways: “Mgh Solid Grey/Matte Silver/Red” and “Core Black/Red.”

Back in December 2020, Prada and adidas followed up on their trio of collaborative Superstars with something a bit more personal to both of the brands’ hearts. The A+P LUNA ROSSA 21 is a hybrid shoe that acknowledges both Prada and adidas’ past, nodding to the AC75 Luna Rossa boat that, in turn, played into why these shoes are sustainable and environmentally conscious and look towards sailing as a whole for inspiration.

Furthermore, the release of this shoe went to show how the world of collaborations had developed. Dior and Jordan did it, so why not Prada and adidas? Unbeknownst to us, Pradidas wasn’t such a hit — but we have a sneaking suspicion that these new colorways might be exactly what Prada and adidas fans were looking for all along.

First up is the “Mgh Solid Grey/Matte Silver/Red” iteration — or what previous teasers had alluded to as “Gunmetal.” Regardless, we find the renewed and recycled material-based PRIMEGREEN upper and hydrophobic E-TPU outer shell dipped in a semi-metallic shade of gray, and the same goes for the Continental rubber-covered full-length BOOST midsole. The signature red Prada branding works the heel yet again, while adidas branding appears on the heel tab. More Prada branding decorates the lateral-side midsole, dual-branding works the perfoated interior, and of course, the EVA tongue (covered with quick-lacing laces) is left clean and simple.

The exact same composition can be said for the “Core Black/Red” version, which adopts darker tones for a body and upper that — unlike the original pair — definitely won’t discolor. Red appears on the heel, black works the BOOST, and combined it’s the choice for a much more stealthy look.

Both Prada x adidas A+P LUNA ROSSA 21 sneakers can be seen above and are expected to drop on adidas’ CONFIRMED app on July 19 at 9 a.m. BST, costing £450 GBP each (or $650 USD).
