Megan Thee Stallion's 'Good News' Officially Goes Platinum

Megan Thee Stallion‘s Good News has officially gone platinum.

The Houston rapper’s debut studio album was officially certified by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) on July 14, confirming that the record has sold at least one million units since its November 2020 release. The album previously went gold earlier this January, selling 500,000 units. The RIAA’s other recent certifications include Megan Thee Stallion and DaBaby‘s “Cry Baby,” which has gone platinum, and “WAP” with Cardi B, which is now a six-time platinum track.

“HOTTIESSSS GOOD NEWS IS OFFICIALLY PLATINUM,” the rapper wrote on Instagram. “This is my first platinum album and I’m so proud! I made majority of this album in my living room during quarantine and to see it really do its thing makes me so happy! Thank you everyone involved and most of all thank you hotties for RUNNING IT TF UP Can’t wait for y’all to see what’s next.”
