BBC ICECREAM is Reviving Its Iconic OG BBC Logo Fitted Hat
A nostalgic fashion piece from the 2003 archives.
If you were a follower of the streetwear scene in the early 2000s, then you certainly remember the wave that NIGO created with the BBC ICECREAM imprint. There’s plenty of gems that were birthed during this era of fashion, one of which was the BBC Logo Fitted Hat which was often spotted on iconic friends of the brand such as Kanye West and Pharrell.
The hat originally launched in 2003 for Billionaire Boys Club‘s Season 1 and was one of the most rare items in that collection. Fast forward 19 years later, and the cap is slated to make its glorious return. From a design perspective, it’s been modernized with a new feel, fit and look. The Japan-made caps are adorned with the OG BBC emblem on the front and feature throwback details such as the BBC Helmet insignia on the squatchee and the Astronaut embellishment that’s skewed to the rear’s right panel. Two colorways are gearing up to drop including the OG denim iteration and a limited edition olive green variation.
The caps will come in S, M, and L sizes and will be made available on July 23, 2021 via the NYC Flagship, Miami location, and the BBC ICECREAM site for $115 USD.
