New Yorkers will be the first to tell you that if they’re going to support a certain sports team in the city, they’re going to ride for that squad ’til they end up six feet under. One of the rivalries known to NYC is the New York Yankees vs the New York Mets — otherwise known as the “Subway Series.” And so to honor this competitive matchup in the modern era, Awake NY, MLB and New Era have joined forces and manufactured an apparel and hat collection that honors both respective franchises.

Under the apparel category, the three brands have crafted a barrage of products from four hoodies — two for each team — as well as six t-shirts. For the “Bronx Bombers”, gray and navy blue pullovers are involved in the capsule, both of which spell out “Yankees” across the chest and have co-branded hits on the back. Blue and black sweatshirts are lined up for the “The Kings of Queens” and follow a similar design execution. Both squads also get a duo of tees, the Yankees variations spelling out “Team of the Century” on the back while the Mets‘ offerings print its signature “The Amazin’” moniker. The final two shirts in the range are a nod to both baseball franchises and come in black and white colorways.

It wouldn’t be a true New Era assortment without any fitted caps, so four hats round out the collaboration and come embellished with an Awake hit on the left temple and “Subway Series” on the back side.

If interested, you can cop via the Awake website on July 2.
