The New York Marathon is set to make a triumphant return in November, celebrating its 50th running after the 2020 race was cancelled due to the coronavirus. In celebration of the marathon’s return and its 50th installment, the New York Road Runners association and New Balance have teamed up for their yearly capsule of running shoes and apparel — centered around two special takes on the FuelCell Prism and a duo of unique Windcheater jackets, plus other pieces of race-ready apparel.

Each FuelCell Prism is designed to match one of the Windcheater jackets and vice versa. The first Prisim colorway is a Sprite-like mix of sport blue and neon green, made to play off the secondary tones of its Seattle Seahawks-esque Windcheater. The other offers a pastel pink shade with white embellishments, matching its pink, white and black jacket. Both the Windcheater jackets and the collection’s other shirts and shorts boast a special graphic inspired by the marathon’s 50th anniversary, and some feature details that nod to NYC’s most famous running paths.

You can head to the New Balance webstore to buy pieces from the New York Road Runners and New Balance 2021 New York City Marathon collection now. Prices range from $50-$135 USD.
