C.P. Company Celebrates 50 Years With Its First Anniversary Book

Tracing its history through stories and images of those connected with the brand.

When a young graphic designer named Massimo Osti began creating his own label of T-Shirts in 1971, it marked the beginning of a long and fruitful journey.

Through innovative manufacturing processes, which were unheard of in the textile industry at the time, Osti began giving his collections a lived-in look, and dressing them in earthy natural shades and hues. This, combined with a focus on comfort and functionality inspired by classic military get-up, soon became the core components of what we know C.P. Company as today, and what then went on to dress subcultures for decades to come.

Now 50 years on, C.P. Company is celebrating this history with a commemorative book entitled C.P. Company 971 – 021. An Informal History of Italian Sportswear, in which the brand shares the stories of 50 personalities connected to the label. From designers like Moreno Ferrari and Paul Harvey and fans and collectors, to Osti’s family and close friends, the first brand book is a close look at one of the defining brand’s of the century.
