Lamborghini's LM002 Is the Original Super-SUV, and This One Could Be Yours
The “Rambo Lambo” is enough to make you forget about the Urus.

Forget about the Urus, Lamborghini‘s LM002 is the original super-SUV. It’s rarer, more expensive, owned by a diverse clientele, has a military background, and is unmistakably so much cooler, and now a very clean and well-specced version is heading to auction with RM Sotheby’s.
By purchasing the LM002, you’ll be joining an ownership club comprising Tina Turner, Sylvester Stallone, Keke Rosberg, and Malcolm Forbes, and other high-profile names. As you drive around in your six-feet-tall, three-tonne SUV, you’ll come across more like a “Rambo Lambo” driver than a “Chelsea Tractor” owner. It’s for this reason that the LM0002 is the original beastly SUV, and why it’s now one of the most sought-after Lamborghinis in the world.
However, there’s more to it than just its dominating presence. For example, it features a modified V12 unit taken from the Countach, developing 444 BHP that’s good for 118 MPH — not fast by any means, but then it does weigh as much as a small planet. Two-wheel or 4WD can be chosen depending on the terrain, and 0-60 MPH is achieved in just under eight seconds which isn’t bad considering the LM002’s rudimentary aerodynamics.
This particular model, which is one of just 328 made in a seven-year period between 1986 and 1993, is finished in “Dark Blue” with Lamborghini Taurus symbols and lettering in red, and features a vintage cream leather interior. In typical Lambo form, the interior is plush and opulent, with leather wrapping almost every touchpoint inside the cabin alongside details of wood trimming the door, dash, and more.
