Playboy and Emotionally Unavailable have officially unveiled their latest capsule collaboration. The collection intertwines both brand’s innate DNA, coming together with a capsule that tugs at the heartstrings of hopeless romantic “playboys”.

The graphic-heavy pieces see Emotionally Unavailable team up with Playboy Labs for a nine-piece collection launch. The capsule consists of staple tees and hoodies as well as a workwear jacket and hats. Each of the pieces features the raunchy magazine’s famed bunny emblem, Mr. Playboy alongside the Emotionally Unavailable branding. The co-branding between both brands also showcases the brand names stacked on top of one another as a form of wordplay to pinpoint the key phrase, “Emotionally Unavailable Playboy”. Famed singer and songwriter and four-time Grammy-nominated BJ The Chicago Kid is the quintessential protagonist of the lookbook, tying the collection together. BJ is best known for his consistent musical collaborations with big artists including Kendrick Lamar, Schoolboy Q, Ab-Soul and Jay Rock.

The capsule is available exclusively online at Emotionally Unavailable from May 7.

Recently, Emotionally Unavailable returned to Hong Kong’s K11 MUSEA for its first physical pop-up in over two years. The pop-up, titled “Heartbreak Motel”, takes inspiration from an El-Royale-esque motel. Visitors are checked into a room where they can explore Emotionally Unavailable’s latest collection of apparel and limited edition exclusive. An Emotionally Unavailable x Medicom Toy BE@RBRICK 10000% in a rosy-hued transparent body featuring a glowing heart beating within, highlights the pop-up at K11. The store also features an array of neon installations illuminating the path for all broken hearts who come through. Check out the installation on Instagram and the pop-up exclusive collection below.
