Jaden Smith's "I Love You" Restaurant Will Give Free Food to Homeless People
Expanding his original food truck initiative that was launched in 2019.
Jaden Smith is expanding his “I Love You” food truck initiative into a full-fledged restaurant.
According to reports, the MSFTS founder’s new philanthropic project will continue to the goal of its predecessor but add a “pay it forward” aspect. “It’s for homeless people to get free food,” Smith said. “But if you’re not homeless, not only do you have to pay, but you have to pay for more than the food’s worth so that you can pay for the person behind you.”
The original “I Love You” initiative was launched in 2019 as part of Smith’s 21st birthday celebration. The food truck made its first appearance in downtown L.A.’s Skid Row on July 8, with the artist revealing in an Instagram post that “All The Food Is Free & Vegan.” Its latest mission on social media dates back to February 2020, just before COVID-19 hit.
