Lykan HyperSport Stunt Car Used in 'Fast & Furious 7' Is Now an NFT
You’ll get a digital rendering of the car and the real thing.

NFTs are taking over the world, and now another first in this digital revolution is about to take place. Thanks to Rubix Market, a very rare W Motors Lykan HyperSport stunt car from Fast & Furious 7 is up for auction as the first physically-backed on-chain automotive NFT in the world, giving the buyer not just a set of digital assets but also the car itself.
More specifically, the NFT sale includes a video of the NFT, a lifelike rendering of the stunt car, as well as the actual real-life Lykan HyperSport stunt car. It is one of the few that was used in F&F 7 when Vin Diesel and Paul Walker jumped between skyscrapers in the UAE, and as a result of its actions, this ultra-rare hypercar is complete with all its Hollywood blockbuster scars.
As for the car itself, it’s not quite the Lykan HyperSport you’d imagine. While road-going versions came fitted with a 3.7-liter twin-turbocharged flat-six engine that is good for 780 HP, the stunt car was actually fitted with a 2.7-liter flat-six that produces 240 BHP. It’s not road-legal, and plenty of the finishing touches inside are missing or damaged — for example, the instrument cluster and infotainment system is gone completely.
Despite all of this, the Lykan HyperSport is still a piece of automotive-meets-Hollywood history. For that reason alone, bidding starts at $100,000 USD, but the final sale estimate is vast with a range between $750,000 USD and $2,500,000 USD. Take a look at the NFT above, and find out more about the auction (which commences on 11 May 2021 15.00-16.30 CET) on Rubix Market’s website.
