Luke Meier‘s OAMC and adidas Originals are now — as a duo — a household name in the footwear market. Having produced over half a dozen unique avant-garde silhouettes based on the Three Stripes’ archive, the collaborative line is back presenting two new takes on the Type O-6 and Type O-8.

Starting with the Type O-8, which is essentially a Samba in its basic form, we’re treated to colorways including “Orbit Grey/ Cream White/Bliss” and “Core Black/Grey Six,” with the latter looking incredibly similar to the pair that dropped in Fall/Winter 2020. However, sneaker detectives among us will notice the yellow embroidery on the sidewall, the tonal stitching on the Three Stripes down the mid-panel, and a solid black sole unit as opposed to the other season’s semi-translucent black look.

As for the “Orbit Grey/ Cream White/Bliss” colorway, OAMC opts to add an olive green sole unit to the shoe that’s made from creamy-gray leather and suede, before detailing it with tonal branding and a royal blue embroidered stamp on the sidewall.

Moving on to the Type O-6, which is OAMC’s ZX-informed sneaker, we now get to choose from “Grey/Chalk White/Black” or “Core Black/Cloud White.” Regardless of which you choose, they’re both an educated footwear choice and provide something more sophisticated in comparison to the usual ZX line.

The Type O-6 features a bulbous, almost anthropomorphic-looking outsole that’s paired to a Torsion-equipped midsole, while usual ZX elements such as the signature heel clip, an on-point tongue tag, and an upper made from a wide range of materials remain.

Take a look at the latest sneakers to come from OAMC and adidas Originals above. All four styles are set to release on adidas’ website on May 5, with the Type O-6 costing £230 GBP and the Type O-8 costing £170 GBP (approx. $320 USD/$235 USD).

In other news, here is what HYPEBEAST says are the best (and worst) Travis Scott x Nike collaborations.
