Kim Kardashian West Is Now a Billionaire
Thanks primarily to her KKW Beauty and SKIMS brands.

Kim Kardashian West has never really not been wealthy. Her parents, Robert Kardashian and Kris and Caitlyn Jenner, ensured that Kardashian West didn’t grow up wanting for much, giving the reality show star a solid base to begin constructing a personal fortune. The 40-year-old was worth millions of dollars by 2011, thanks to the success of branded products like her own mobile game, and, according to Forbes, her latest entrepreneurial efforts — KKW Beauty and SKIMS – have ballooned Kardashian West’s coffers to the point that she’s now estimated to be worth a billion dollars.
With or without Kanye West, Kardashian West’s branding is essentially a license to print money. Between 2011 and 2020 — specifically, October 2020, when Kardashian hosted a controversial island birthday blowout — Forbes estimates that her net worth swelled from $51 million USD to $780 million USD, mostly thanks to income generated by her two tentpole brands.
In particular, the publication contends that Kardashian West’s billionaire status comes primarily from KKW Beauty — estimating her 72% stake at approximately $500 million USD — with SKIMS contributing an additional chunk of change — the company doesn’t disclose financials but Forbes is hedging its bets at about $225 million USD, thanks to a pandemic-driven athleisure boom. Combined. these figures account for three-quarters of Kardashian West’s billionaire status even before considering her Keeping Up With the Kardashians revenue, properties and various shareholder positions, some of which were gifted by her then-husband.
Kanye West himself is a billionaire several times over, though his exact worth is the subject of some debate. Similarly, Kardashian West’s siblings are, to say the least, quite comfortable: Kylie Jenner is sitting comfortably on hundreds of millions of dollars and Kendall places right behind her.
Even the less entrepreneurial Kardashians are doing pretty well, thanks in no small part to a new contract that the family signed with Hulu and Disney following the end of Keeping Up With The Kardashians.
