The weekend’s watch news has been dominated by Audemars Piguet’s first drop in collaboration with Marvel, the Royal Oak Concept Black Panther Flying Tourbillon, and the auction of a white gold unique piece that helped raised $8m USD for charity.

But there have been a number of other drops at Watches and Wonders 2021 over the weekend that you should know about. Here are HYPEBEAST’s picks.

TAG Heuer has overhauled its Aquaracer with a more pronounced 12-sided bezel (a dodecagon in case you were wondering) and octagonal hour markers. The 43mm case has been redesigned and is slimmer, sitting more flush to the wrist due to its new angled lugs, while the date window has been moved to the six o’clock position. Out now, priced $3,000 USD in stainless steel.

Chronoswiss Open Gear Resec Black Ice

Chronoswiss swaps the usual formality of its engine-turned dials for a more contemporary sandblasted and black PVD-coated effort, which separates out hours, minutes and retrograde seconds in a ‘regulator’ configuration. The brand claims around 20 distinct shades of dark grey/black on this 44mm, 50-piece limited edition with contrasting luminous white indices. Out now, priced $10,600 USD.

Corum Admiral 45 Automatic Openworked Flying Tourbillon Carbon & Gold

Everything Worth Knowing About This Weekend at Watches and Wonders 2021 With Drops From Corum and TAG Heuer to Nomos and Chronoswiss
The 45mm case of this Corum Admiral is composed of an entirely new layered mix of carbon and 18k gold flakes, which results in an irregular pattern making each of the 48 watches in the run unique in appearance. The look is complemented by an open worked, 3Hz automatic flying tourbillon movement. Out now, priced CHF 59,800 ($64,700 USD).

Montblanc 1858 Geospheres

Everything Worth Knowing About This Weekend at Watches and Wonders 2021 With Drops From Corum and TAG Heuer to Nomos and Chronoswiss
Montblanc’s intriguing take on the worldtimer complication, the Geospheres, returns in another limited edition guise, this time marking adventurer Reinhold Messner’s five-week solo trek across the Gobin Desert in 2004 with an equally sandy color palette. The Geospheres, representing both north and south hemispheres, turn once every 24 hours in opposite directions, indicating the approximate time everywhere on earth simultaneously. Out now, priced $6,500 USD.
