Saucony Originals Taps Into Archives to Debut Latest Jazz Court Sneaker
Paying tribute to the brand’s tennis lineage.

Having released the Jazz 81 earlier this year, Saucony Originals continues the celebration for the 40th anniversary of its iconic Jazz sneaker. Channeling its tennis roots for Spring/Summer 2021, the footwear brand unveils two iterations of the Jazz Court — unifying a court sole with the classic Jazz upper to form a nostalgia-evoking sneaker.
Served in an array of colorways and textures, Saucony Originals revamps the archetypal white full-grain leather and perforated toe box model. Its signature river detailing on its lateral sides now comes in a variety of contrasting colors including black, Carmine, Saffron and Forest to complement any outfit.
In addition to the original leathers, this season the brand modernizes the classic with the introduction of its latest fabric offering. Opting for an everyday aesthetic, it looks as if the model will become a staple in its footwear line. This iteration arrives in two colorways for women — Marshmallow Pink and Almond White whereas the men’s collection will include dark blue, Pine Green, Chili Pepper Red and Cement Gray.
Boasting a mesh upper with premium textile overlays, the refined fabric variant uniquely adopts soft wool felt on the reinforced heel. Not only represented through its court silhouette, the material’s uncanny resemblance to a tennis ball further pays tribute to the sneaker’s tennis lineage.
Celebrating the uniqueness of Saucony Originals’ heritage, the campaign’s visual aesthetic incorporates a merger of photography, illustration and collage which personifies the launch’s claim “We are all born Originals.” Recruiting three young rising talents, it captures their spontaneity through the portraits and colorful illustrations matching the individual Jazz Court models exhibited.
The latest Saucony Originals Jazz Court are available to purchase now directly through the brand’s website.
