Following the announcement of their return to the fashion stage last year, Hood by Air has now launched a new chapter of the HBA brand, unveiling a new ready-to-wear campaign featuring the legendary Naomi Campbell.

HBA’s upcoming collection, titled The Prologue marks the brand’s first RTW return. The Prologue is a distillation of ideas in collaboration with Shayne Oliver’s Anonymous Club for Hood by Air. Oliver spoke to Vogue about the collection, calling this collection only one of a three linked narratives, featuring themes of Mother, Veteran and Merch.

Campbell wears the Mother collection in the campaign, an homage to the maternal figures throughout Oliver’s life. He added, “It’s kind of based on my grandmother and what she brought to the table, which was always the beauty, but then also, she is how I learned how to physically sew and make clothes. She is such a mother figure to [so many people in fashion] and has always been so outspoken about Black people in fashion, Black identity, and Black creativity. It just made the most sense to begin the conversation there.”

The brand’s team took to Instagram to tease what is to come for HBA fans in the near future, as well as shared a short clip announcing the collection.
