Craig Green's Collapsable adidas Originals ZX 2K Phormar Gets Semi-Transparent Update
While another leather pair in khaki is also set for a release soon.

British designer Craig Green and adidas Originals are back once again with three more takes on their collaborative ZX 2K Phormar sneakers, this time around serving them in semi-transparent white, semi-transparent blue, and khaki.
Green’s adaptation of the ZX 2K makes the shoe almost unrecognizable to the original pair it’s based on. While there are similarities in the BOOST-equipped sole unit, for example at the heel where a translucent clip sits on top of the midsole, the rest of the shoe takes on a completely new and highly technical-looking aesthetic.
First of all, the shoe is collapsable. Strategically placed stitching on the shoe’s upper makes it possible to fold the shoe down flat, while when wearing it, components such as tension tube ropes running from the base to the heel and down the tongue placket give the shoe structure and allow you to customize the fit.
Inside the shoe, you’ll find an interior bootie that not only gives the shoe more structure, but also provides some contrast to the shoe’s upper which can be seen along with the Three Stripes through the semi-transparent white and blue pairs. For the khaki pair, Craig Green opts for a leather and suede upper that’s decorated with a Trefoil logo plaque on the lateral mid-panel, a semi-translucent gum outsole that sits over and under the BOOST midsole, and is finished with Craig Green branding on the heel like all the other pairs. Rounding out all three is its quick-lacing system that comprises ropes and toggles for a tight fit and a minimal look.
These three Craig Green x adidas Originals ZX 2K Phormar sneakers are set to release on adidas’ Australian website on March 22, costing $400 AUD for the semi-translucent pairs (approx. $309 USD) and $480 AUD for the leather version (approx. $371 USD). Take a closer look at all three sneakers above.
